The Onion News Network is a satirical parody of the news channels of television comedy newspaper The Onion. The onion was created by two university students, Tim Keck and Christopher Johnson in 1988. The paper was a success in cities with major universities such as Madison, Milwaukee, Minneapolis and Chicago, but the creation of the website The Onion in 1996 brought national attention. With fun features such as Computer Graphics, Point Counterpoint, strange horoscopes, and the voices of America, the tabloids and Web site have been consistently hilarious for years.
